SPRING into action and join more than 500 others for the ‘Rock Pound the Bounds’ walking event in Worcestershire next weekend to raise funds for Midlands Air Ambulance Charity.
On (Sunday, April 30) choose from a marathon, 18 mile, half marathon, nine mile, six mile or three mile route, through terrain including woodland, pasture, riverside and meadow and help raise lifesaving money for the Air Ambulance.
Michelle McCracken, Worcestershire fundraising manager for Midlands Air Ambulance Charity said: “Rock Pound the Bounds is a lovely day out for the whole family, with routes for all abilities, including a three mile treasure trail for young families.
“In 2016, the event raised over £7,000 for the charity, which helped to fund two lifesaving air ambulance missions.”
Registration starts from £6 for adults on the six and nine mile, and half marathon routes, and £8 for the 18 mile and marathon routes. All participants are also encouraged to raise sponsorship money for the charity leading up to the event.
Midlands Air Ambulance serves the largest air ambulance region in the UK, including Gloucestershire, Herefordshire, Shropshire, Staffordshire, West Midlands and Worcestershire – representing a population of more than six million.
