REDDITCH photographer Paul Wilde is becoming something of a video star after footage he shot of a murmuration of starlings got more than 111,000 hits on the Midlands Today Facebook page.
“I was walking and snapping out the other side of Worcester about 35 miles from home at lunchtime on Monday when a presenter from BBC Midlands Today rang asking if I could do an interview about my murmuration clip for that night’s show. I thought it was a wind up at first,” said the Abbey Park resident.
“After a chat he decided he would come out to do the interview where I was, as they were keen to get it on Midlands Today that night!
“Filming at 3.30pm then a 90 minute drive back to the city centre studios, edited & broadcast at 6.45pm!
“I can’t believe it.”
