A REDDITCH school netball team was declared district winners at a competition.
The year eight squad at St Bede’s Catholic Middle School took home the trophy, not for the first time, after coming up against seven schools for the district title.
Since they first hit the courts in year five, PE teacher Tracy O’Malley said it was clear to see this group of young girls had something a little bit special.
“They have shown nothing but hard work, dedication and enthusiasm to the sport they love so much and it has paid off in an abundance of titles over the years,” she said.
“The win was bittersweet, as they were representing Bede’s for the final time, but they didn’t disappoint in their performance.
“They showed pure class and played netball at the highest of levels and they couldn’t be beaten.
“Wishing you all every success in your future netball careers girls – we are all very proud of your achievements.”
