Redditch pupils go green and plant 85 saplings

RECEPTION class at Abbeywood First School have been busy planting 85 saplings, donated by the Woodland Trust.

The class of 35 children took part in the event to create a new forest school area within the school grounds.

Children had great fun learning about the different types of trees and how to plant and look after them successfully.

Reception teacher Rosie Pretty said: “The children are hoping that the new area will entice more wildlife onto the school grounds for future generations to enjoy.”
