A REDDITCH motorcycle racer is reaching out to the community to help find her custom built bike, stolen from her locked garage overnight on Sunday.
Sue Dowling, who competed in her teens and twenties, was forced to retire from the sport due to injuries sustained in a crash many years ago.
After years of therapy, she years ago she was finally in a physical condition that allowed her to return to the sport.
Due to her injuries and her particularly small stature, she needed a bike to be custom built to her requirements.
With the support of her brother, who had just suffered his own personal tragedy losing his son to SADS in May of 2022, a bike was bought and customised to her needs and she started to compete again in the 2023 race season.
Sue said the bike is unique and of little use to anyone outside of this sport and even then, only to someone with very specific needs and physical build.
It was stolen from her locked garage in Winyates West on Sunday night along with another machine belonging to her father that has since been recovered.
The only part of Sue’s bike that has been recovered so far is its blue cover that was found in Stapleton Close on Monday afternoon.
Please share any information regarding its whereabouts with local police with crime reference number 22/9927/26.
