AS part of their centenary birthday celebrations, more than 200 Rainbows and Brownies from Redditch Girlguiding gathered at the Ecumenical Centre last Friday evening to be amazed and astounded by the talents of magician Magic Russ.
With his sidekick Dave The Dog, he kept girls and leaders enthralled with his tricks and sleight of hand.
Squeals of delight, gasps of awe and much laughter could be heard throughout the centre.
Magic Russ is just one of the many ways Redditch Girlguiding plans to celebrate 100 years of Girl-led youth work in the town over the coming months.
With five age ranges, Rainbows, Brownies, Guides, Senior Section and the invaluable leaders, there is something for all.
