RESIDENTS are reminded that the Redditch Repair cafe is shutting up shop for the Christmas break, but will be back open again in the new year.
A planned Repair Cafe event on Saturday (December 17) has been cancelled, but people are invited to bring their old and broken items along to a session on January 28 instead.
In 2017 the volunteer-run cafe will be open for business and donations again and people are asked to bring their goods that are no longer working – from computers to kitchen gadgets, TVs, even furniture, radios and stereos – with them on the day of the session.
The service at IDS at Britten House on Britten Street off Bromsgrove Road in the town centre is free, although the volunteer run organisation welcomes donations of any size help keep things ticking over.
