DON’T discard it, repair it! That’s the message from Redditch Repair Cafe which opens its doors for 2017 next Saturday, January 28.
Running from 10am to 2pm, a team of skilled experts will be on hand to breathe new life into things that might be broken but you just can’t part with.
Radios, stereos, computers, garden machinery and more could all be ripe for repair – they’ll even fix your curtains or mend clothing.
What’s more, the cafe, run by Transition Towns at the Old Needle Works in Britten Street, won’t cost you a penny – although donations are welcome.
In addition, visitors can have a cuppa and a slice of cake perhaps in the cafe and explore the workshops on site and gift shop filled with goods made locally by talented Redditch artisans.
Britten Street is just off Bromsgrove Road, a two-minute walk from the bus station. Parking is also available on site.
