THE STANDARD is saying farewell to one of its much loved and talented reporters, Beth Wright, who is leaving to write for an international online fashion magazine.
Beth started as a trainee reporter in April, last year, and quickly made her mark with both staff and the community.
The queen of fund raising head-shave stories she’s also chased car tax dodgers and spent more than two hours travelling by public transport trying to get to Worcestershire Royal Hospital.
The 26-year-old said: “I am so sad to be leaving The Standard. I could not have asked to work with a better team of people.
“I’ve loved every minute and have learnt so much.
“I’m going to miss everyone there, and all the councillors and the members of the community I have got to know.”
Standard editor Ross Crawford said: “Beth is a terrific reporter who has made a huge impact both as a writer and as an ambassador for the newspaper. We wish her all the very best writing about the international world of fashion.”
