A REDDITCH restauranter is toasting his team’s success after being named a winner at the Good Food Awards.

Abdul Wahid Ullah, owner, manager and executive chef at the town’s Champagne Express Indian Fusion Restaurant, is overjoyed at the success of his restaurant which has also been recognised by travel giant Trip Advisor since 2013 with Certificates of Excellence.

Champagne Express has also been named as a winner at the Curry Awards in recent years and was nominated at the Brummies’ Choice Awards.

Mr Ullah said: “It’s absolutely wonderful which ties in nicely with our fifth anniversary – it’s a big achievement and we are starting to make big noises.

“We have a great team here and I’m really proud of my staff.”

Champagne Express, which is located at the bottom on Unicorn Hill near the train and bus stations, specialises in the finest of Bangladeshi, Indian and fusion cuisine but boasts an impressive menu including a variety of game meats.

On offer is kangaroo, crocodile and ostrich alongside a wide variety of fusion meals and European dishes such as Masala fish and chips.
