A RALLYING call has gone out to landlocked Redditch’s ex-Navy and Royal Marines servicemen and women to re-join the colours and support the town’s Royal Navy Association.
The recruitment drive is being organised by Peter Endall, who served on the Ark Royal, the Bermuda and the Ganges – to name a few – in an effort to keep the borough’s RNA group going.
“We know that there are an awful lot of former Navy and former Marines in Redditch and we need them to come and support us or else we might have to close,” said Peter, from Greenlands.
“Once Navy, always Navy we say and by joining us you’ll not only rekindle old friendships, but make new ones, support the Navy and have a great time too.”
The Redditch branch of the RNA meeets on the fourth Thursday of each month from 8pm at TS Kingfisher, Upper Crossgates Road, Park Farm, Redditch.
