A REDDITCH school has been awarded a music mark status due to the value they place on music education in the curriculum.
St Bede’s Catholic Middle School has partnered with Severn Arts to deliver pupils at least an hour a week of music.
Music Mark Schools is supported through a partnership with ABRSM examination board.
Music Mark works to support and enable the music education sector to deliver musical and social outcomes for all children and young people.
Mrs Burton, associate assistant Principal said: “We are delighted to receive this again and hugely value the partnership we have with Severn Arts.
“Our pupils receive at least one hour a week in music and have a variety of extra-curricular opportunities available to them.”
A spokesperson for Severn Arts said: “On behalf of Music Mark and from us at Severn Arts, we would like to thank you for all the hard work your school does to support this collective vision.”
