A REDDITCH netball team were declared district winners at a competition.
The year seven netball squad at St Bede’s Catholic Middle School were at Woodrush High School earlier this week to compete against seven schools for the district netball title.
They won pools round matches convincingly with an 8-0 against Woodfield, 6-0 against Birchensale and 4-1 against Ipsley.
They were through to the finals, facing a tough competitor, and last years champions, Walkwood, winning comfortably 4-0.
The St Bede’s Netball team will now move on to represent Redditch at the School Games in the summer term.
PE teacher Tracy O’Malley said: “What an accolade for all their hard work and perseverance over the last two years.
“Congratulations girls.”
