Redditch School Uniform Bank is stocked and back once more

Redditch Editorial 28th Jul, 2021   0

THE Redditch Labour Party is inviting all parents and carers to take advantage of its ever popular school uniform bank event.

It’s being held this Saturday, July 31 from 11am to approximately 1pm in the Ecumenical Centre, above Halifax bank in Evesham Walk.

Everyone is welcome and all items will be free.

Available will be numerous logo items, as well as generic trousers, skirts and shirts.

There will also be a selection of PE kit, trainers, shoes and coats.

Covid safety measures will be in place and numbers allowed into the centre at any one time will be limited to avoid overcrowding.

The room will also be well ventilated.

Sanitiser will be available, and visitors are asked to wear a mask unless exempt.

Joint organiser Joe Baker said: “Once again we are overwhelmed at the generosity of parents who have passed on so many great quality items for reuse.

“This event helps hundreds of families every year, and is a firm fixture in the Redditch Labour Party calendar.

“The cost of school uniform is a major expense, and many local parents are feeling the strain after a year of lockdown restrictions and furlough wages.

We would like to thank our donation points – Kingfisher centre, Omega Therapies and Inspire CIC for their fantastic support so far.

“We also extend our gratitude to the Ecumenical Centre for providing the venue.”
