Redditch school’s progress ‘among the best’

A REDDITCH school has been named in the top 21 schools in the country for progress.

St Augustine’s Catholic High School has been ranked highly for progress made by students in the official Department for Education figures published yesterday (January 19) and are now in top 21 in the UK.

The school in Hunt End is also the best Roman Catholic school outside London as well as having the best pupil progress score in the Midlands.

Executive Principal, Tony Quinn said: “It’s a wonderful endorsement to comprehensive education that the children of our community have consistently achieved through high quality teaching, superb support within the school, a conductive learning environment and rigorous desire to be successful.




“These ingredients have earned this success.”

The institution has seen success nationally since being placed 18th out of 4,495 schools nationally in the national league tables in England in October 2016.
