THE red carpet was rolled out for telecommunications training company Ubi-tech when it moved its national headquarter to Redditch.

For not one but two MPs were on hand to welcome the firm to its new Regents Court base in Moons Moat.

Stratford MP Nadhim Zahawi was saying a fond farewell to the company, which had been based in Sambourne while Karen Lumley, MP for Redditch was keen to welcome it to its new borough home.

Ubi-tech specialises in training ex-service personnel in mobile technology, providing top quality expertise in telecommunications, including 5G.

“This company does incredible work for our ex-service people giving them not only a fantastic career but also providing a workforce which is the best in the world,” said Mr Zahawi.

“What they do is absolutely mission critical and because they are ex-military this is a situation that is totally familiar to them so these people won’t knock off at 5pm they’ll stay until the job is done.”

Mrs Lumley said: “I am delighted that Ubi-tech have come to Redditch; they will be just across the road from the new Eastern Gateway and I look forward to working with them in the future.”

Company managing director Richard Lee said: “This is a fantastic opportunity for us to move forward, these premises have all we need to expand and we will be looking to take on more staff in the future.”
