A STUDENT from Redditch has shown she is more than just a bright spark after securing a job with global giant EDF Energy.
Joanne Bull studied an HND Business Management (Fast-Track) at Heart of Worcestershire College (HoW College) and then successfully secured the post with the UK’s biggest supplier of electricity.
The flexibility of the college’s course allowed her to complete the qualification, part-time, in just two years.
The HND itself is a work-related qualification that provides learners with the integral knowledge and understanding of business and management that relates to their own organisation as well as the wider economy; as part of their study students are given various networking opportunities to help advance their career and studies.
“I am thrilled! The HND Business Management course has allowed me to meet people from different industries and professions,” said Joanne.
“Through the connections I made I secured an agency position with EDF Energy. Two years down the line I now have a permanent role with the company as a supply chain specialist; if it wasn’t for the flexible nature of the course and the support of my tutor, Bridgette, I wouldn’t be where I am today!”
