A REDDITCH student nurse can qualify in style this summer after landing a job at the town’s Alexandra Hospital following a visit to the hospital’s recruitment event.
More than 120 registered nurses, midwives and current and aspiring healthcare support workers attended the event on January 23, which was described as the ‘busiest yet’.
After noticing an ad for the recruitment drive in her local paper, Ellie Roberts – along with two of her course mates from the University of Birmingham – went along to the Alex and interviewed for a staff nurse post, starting in September.
After the surprise interview, and much to her delight, Ellie was was offered the position of Staff Nurse for Ward 14 at the Alex, following her qualifying in July.
To top the day off, Ellie’s two class mates were also offered jobs following their own interviews.
