TASTY treats and valuable life skills were on the menu at a Redditch first school this week as youngsters learnt how to make the perfect healthy pizza.
On Tuesday (January 17) children from Matchborough First School Academy were invited to make pizzas from scratch, from kneading the dough to choosing their very own healthy toppings.
A spokesperson for the school said: “We really value this experience because whilst making their pizza the children are not just getting messy and being creative, but they are learning about the basics of cooking from scratch.”
Once the dough had risen, the sauce spread and the cheese sprinkled, each Year One child chose their favourite topping ready for it to be cooked. They were then given a take-away box so they could share their creation with their family at home.
