WELL-behaved students at a Redditch school went wild this week – with a raccoon, some snakes and a snow fox.

Tudor Grange Academy Redditch welcomed Animal Man, Henry Bagley to their school as a part of an ongoing rewards programme designed by the students and the youngsters were delighted to meet the unusual critters.

Animal Man Henry brought a number of creatures ranging from gecko’s, hedgehogs, snakes to a raccoon, to the school and those brave enough took the chance to hold them.

Year 7 student Connor Jones even dared to have a snake around his neck and following the experience, he said: “I use to be really scared of snakes – but now I love them.”

Miss Nicola Crehan, who leads on behaviour and standards at Tudor Grange said “We wanted to be able to praise and reward our students who are fantastic every day. “At the start of the year the students came up with a number of reward ideas and they chose the Animal Man. It was great to see the students being rewarded and having a fantastic time.”

Jodie Bolter, Principal at the academy said: “We feel it is really important that we reward our students and celebrate their behaviour and good attendance.

“The students were extremely excited about Henry coming in and they had a great time.

“I think the visit from the Animal Man will be the highlight of the rewards programme this year.”
