THREE students from Redditch are celebrating after achieving First Class Honours in their university degrees.
Kirk Wood, Katie Todd and Mandy Ajmal have just completed their studies at the University of Worcester.
Kirk from Alcester, said: “I am extremely happy to have achieved a First Class Honours in Computing.
“I originally had no plans to go on to to university but I am glad I did now.
“It has been a fantastic experience and an opportunity to grow as an individual.”
Katie from Winyates Green took her degree in English Literary Studies and enjoyed every minute.
The 21-year-old said: “From the very start of my studies it had always been my aim to achieve a first in my degree, so I am over the moon at my results.”
Katie is starting a new job as a Junior Editing Assistant but has not ruled out returning to university in the future to complete a masters degree.
Mandy, aged 47, decided to study Integrated Working with Children and Families.
She said: “Having waited for over thirty years to study at university I am absolutely ecstatic to have finally achieved my dream.
“To come out with a first was well worth the wait because I feel completely elated.”
The University of Worcester has places available for well-qualified applicants through Clearing this year.
