STUDENTS in Redditch have been taking part in Remembrance Day celebrations to mark the lives of those have died in combat.

On Friday (November 11) all staff and students from Tudor Grange Academy took part in a ceremony led by their CCF army cadets where poppies were laid, poems were read and time was given to reflect whilst the Last Post was played.

Kevin Hall, School Staff Instructor, said: “I think it’s wonderful that the cadets get the opportunity to lead on Remembrance Day and it is our privilege to do so.”

Jodie Bolter, Principal for Tudor Grange Academy, added: “It is important that we remember the people that have given their lives in service to their country. We feel as a community it is important for our staff and students to unite in this special remembrance.”
