A TEEENAGE quiz fiend has raised more than £540 for Acorns Children’s Hospice after organising two fund raising events.

Imogen Dykes presented Acorns with a cheque for £280 for her latest quiz night at Abbots Morton village hall near Inkberrow.

It adds to the £263 she’s already raised for the hospice in 2016.

Imogen was a fellow pupil of the late Josh Harvey from Studley, who died in Acorns Hospice 10 years ago after suffering an asthma attack.

Now the money she’s raised will go to the Daisy Chain fund in memory of Josh, which now stands at more than £50,000.

“Acorns were so good to Josh that I’m pleased to be able to help them in any way I can,” said the 17-year-old.

“I’d just like to thank everyone who came along to take part in the quiz night.”

Gemma Timmis from Acorns, who received the cheque, said: “We are really chuffed with this fabulous amount Imogen has raised.”

Another quiz hosted by Imogen is now being planned for later in the year.
