REDDITCH residents may receive a tasty festive gift from retail giant Tesco this Christmas as the firm pledge to deliver 1000 mince pies to the town.
The Tesco mince pie van is delivering 18,000 free mince pies to people’s doorsteps in the run up to December 25, visiting various locations across the country, including Redditch, to help people get into the festive spirit.
Mince Pie Man, Warren, who will be dropping off mince pies and wishing local residents season greetings along the way, said: “I’m really excited that this pie in the sky idea worked so well last year and I’m back for a second helping. I can’t wait to spread some more Christmas cheer and get everyone in the festive mood.”
If residents aren’t home when the pie-man comes knocking, they will be left a voucher to pick it their wintery treat from a local store instead.
