THE Royal Enfield pub on Unicorn Hill is set to reopen on Friday, June 28, following an extensive £790,000 refurbishment.
The popular town centre pub, which first opened as a Wetherspoon in May 2010, will now feature an elevated decking area on the site of the staff car park. It will also have a new access lift.
Inside, the pub has been completely redecorated with a new colour scheme while behind the scenes, new staff facilities have been added, including staff room and changing facilities.
Work is also being carried out to upgrade the bar area.
Pub manager Gareth Firkin said: “Wetherspoon has spent almost £800,000 on the pub, providing further investment into the town.
“Myself and my team are looking forward to welcoming customers back into The Royal Enfield, and we are confident they will be impressed by the refurbishment of the building and new outdoor facilities.”
