THERE were cakes galore when the Redditch branch of the TSB held a coffee morning and cake sale last Friday in aid of its chosen charity Where Next? of Easemore Road.

Both customers and visitors were invited to indulge for the cause while staff gamely pedalled away on a static bicycle as part of their Hike It, Bike It, Bake It and Eat It campaign for the charity.

And despite torrential rain on the day people still turned up, including borough Deputy Mayor Councillor Roger Bennett.

“The TSB has once again done a great job,” said Jo Wood from Where Next? a Redditch organisation which offers training opportunities to disadvantaged people.

“Some of our guys came up and they all had a go on the bike and we brought some of the things we make to sell too.”

Karen Baxter, manager of TSB on Unicorn Hill said: “This is the second year we have chosen Where Next? and both customers and the local council have been very supportive.

“We’re delighted to support a local charity as we see it as our duty to give something back to the community and help such a good cause.”
