REDDITCH United has partnered with West Midlands Police to inspire and provide opportunities for young people.
To kick-start the partnership, the club has put together a short video showing the positive impact football can have.
United’s lead tutor, Josh Wright, sat down with the club’s scholars to discuss their school life, upbringing, struggles and challenges while growing up.
The scholars, who develop their football skills alongside nationally recognised qualifications at college and university level, also talked about how the club has helped them develop as a person.
PC Matt Shakespeare of West Midlands Police said: “Through partnership work between the club and myself, we hope to raise aspirations, instill respect, discipline, leadership and help support young people.
“A collection of fantastic interviews highlight the concerns, worries and pressures on youngsters today.
“They are clearly motivated and dedicated players who can inspire future generations to come.
“I eagerly look forward to working closely with the club.”
