Redditch United seal the deal to support more young people

REDDITCH United FC has extended its partnership with Heart of Birmingham Vocational College (HBVC) to help support young people with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) in the town.

HBVC is an independent specialist college for learners aged between 16 and 25 with SEND and autism.

In 2021, the club partnered with HBVC, to provide a place where students could work towards sports qualifications.

The partnership has continued to flourish with HBVC and their learners, with multiple students gaining employment at the football club.

The club have announced a further sports programme that will start this September with the college delivering their core curriculum onsite at The Valley Stadium.

A spokesperson for the club said: “We’re incredibly proud of our partnership with HBVC and it’s been great to see all of the learner’s progression throughout the years.

“We’re looking forward to continuing our thriving relationship with the college and all of the onsite learners.

“We remain the only club in the UK to have a full-time SEND education programme based at the football club.”
