THE Worcestershire Wildlife Trust Local Group in Redditch are holding their first talk in four years.

Redditch Local Group will be joined by naturalist Gordon Forrest, who will discuss the wonders of the Christopher Cadbury Wetland Reserve at Upton Warren.

Managed by the Worcestershire Wildlife Trust, the freshwater and saltwater pools are home to a diverse range of wildlife and are particularly popular amongst birdwatchers.

The local group are delighted to get events running again, after disruption in previous years from Covid-19 restrictions and changes within the group committee.

Gary Farmer, chair of Redditch Local Group, said: “It’s great to open our doors once again to fantastic speakers who can share their knowledge about the natural world.

“Our talks are great for learning more about wildlife and conservation. They also present the opportunity to meet new people from your local community who also have a passion for nature.”

The talk, which is open to members and non-members, will be held from 7:30pm to 9:30pm at Winyates Green Community Centre, Furze

Entry is £2.50.
