A REDDITCH woman has been named as one of the finalists in the running for a national award.
Lynsey McIntosh has been shortlisted in the Warehousing category of the 2016 FTA everywoman in Transport & Logistics Awards.
Lynsey, who is an operations director at Oakland International, is hoping to secure the accolade which is awarded to women who excel in their roles within a warehousing environment.
The Awards aim to demonstrate the breadth of career opportunities offered by the industry, particularly for women, and those shortlisted are prime examples of this with careers ranging from engineers to warehousing managers and HGV drivers.
Maxine Benson MBE, co-founder of everywoman, said: “This year’s finalists are the role models who demonstrate the industry is open to all backgrounds and skill-sets and that it welcomes talented and ambitious women.
“We know these finalists will inspire others to follow in their footsteps.”
