Redditch's Arrow Vale Singers take aim at altos and men for 2016

Redditch Editorial 6th Jan, 2016 Updated: 18th Oct, 2016   0

POPULAR Redditch choir Arrow Vale Singers are seeking people whose New Year’s resolution is to learn a new skill, be more sociable or improve their physical and mental health.

Chairman Louise Carr said: “Singing in a choir has been proven to aid all of the above, and recent BBC documentaries led by choirmaster Gareth Malone have shown that, indeed, ‘anyone can sing’!

“Where else can you make new friends, challenge yourself to learn something new (with lots of support), improve your health and wellbeing and raise money for charities, for the weekly cost of less than the price of a pint?”

The choir meet every Wednesday from 8pm to 10pm at Batchley Community Centre on Cherry Tree Walk, and all Wednesdays in January have been designated as ‘Welcome Weeks’ for potential new members to go along and try out their voices.

All voices welcome, particularly altos and gentlemen.
