A REDDITCH-based company dedicated to supporting people with companionship and connection is spreading some Christmas cheer this December.
Better Together, a discreet concierge service to older people across Worcestershire, has raised funds for The Healing Horse Sanctuary – a charity that provides rehabilitation and lifelong care for rescued horses.
During its 12 days of Christmas campaign, which started with a raffle on December 1, the team and their companions will commit various acts of kindness across the community, including delivering handmade Christmas cards to nursing homes and donating knitted hats to homeless shelters.
Susie Gessey from the Bromsgrove-based Healing Horse Sanctuary, said: “Our horses and ponies need 24-hour access to food and hay during winter to keep warm and healthy so our food bills double this time of year.
“Better Together raising funds for us at Christmas is so very kind, much appreciated and much needed.”
Better Together founder and director Alex Doyle was delighted to support a meaningful cause this Christmas, adding community spirit and kindness were at the heart of everything Better Together does.
She added: “Our clients and companions are amazing and are benefiting hugely from The Healing Horse Sanctuary and we cannot thank them enough. We are really looking forward to giving back just a little bit.”
