JACK Graty from Redditch has been named as a regional award winner in the JTL Awards.
JTL, a leading work-based learning provider, runs the JTL Regional and National Awards on an annual basis awarding those who have demonstrated high levels of achievement throughout their apprenticeships.
Jack, who works for Ultra Plumbing, was presented with a trophy and £100 by JTL manager Kirstine Ginger at the offices of his employer, where he has been serving his plumbing and heating apprenticeship.
He was nominated for the award by his training officer, Paul Walton, in recognition of excellent progress.
Jack now joins 10 other regional award winners, who will go ‘head-to-head’ in the hope of being named JTL National Apprentice of the Year on July 20.
“Jack has boundless energy and enthusiasm for his job and is always cheerful – this makes my job all the better when I am able to work alongside apprentices like Jack,” said Paul.
“Jack is always willing to hear feedback, he then has the maturity to process and commit to completing his work at a standard that far exceeds his age.
“He is happy to take the lead with his qualification and is always looking forward and committing the time needed to complete work set.”
A delighted Jack added: “I was really pleased to hear that I had been chosen as a JTL regional award winner, and I’m incredibly proud to learn that I am also a finalist in the national awards.
“I’m grateful for the recognition as it shows that my hard work has paid off and would like to give a special thanks to Paul Walton for nominating me.”
