Redditch's mum and baby Yoggi Buggy moves indoors for winter

A POPULAR workout class launched earlier this year will be continuing its sessions indoors to help keep more new parents fit this winter.

Yogi Buggi, a yoga and buggy fusion workout, began in the spring after Redditch Borough Council surveyed new parents to see what would encourage them to get fit and stay healthy.

Now the weather is changing, the popular class will move from Stitch Meadow at Arrow Valley Park to sports hall at the Abbey Stadium but will still involve baby and buggy.

Physical activity development officer, Hayley Gwilliam, said: “The sessions have been going really well and it’s great to have like-minded parents working out together, at their own level, not needing to worry about finding someone to look after their little one while they exercise.

“Yogi Buggi is a fun and active workout to do with or without a baby/buggy and I hope that the sessions continue to help keep Redditch parents fit – and fabulous – throughout the winter months.”

The indoor sessions will start on Tuesday, November 2 at 9.15am and will run every Tuesday for an hour.

Abbey Stadium membership is not needed, and each session will cost £3.50 and can be paid online via the council’s website.

Newcomers can try the first session for free to see if the class is right for them.
