A NEW Lidl supermarket officially opened its doors in Redditch on Thursday, June 30.
The store – on Battens Drive – is the second Lidl in the town and has brought new jobs for Redditch residents.
Lidl GB’s regional head of property, Iain Ross, said: “We have received overwhelming support from local residents and we would like to thank everyone who has played a part in delivering this new store.
“We now look forward to serving our multi-award winning products to even more people within the local community.”
The supermarket is open between 8am and 10pm Monday to Saturday and from 10am to 4pm on Sunday.
This latest opening is part of the company’s £1.3billion investment across the UK in 2021 and 2022 – Lidl is now the sixth largest supermarket chain in the country.
