Redditch's Thomas Brothers to jump for hospice

Redditch Editorial 9th Sep, 2017   0

BIG-hearted staff at Thomas Brothers are getting set for a charity parachute jump in aid of Primrose Hospice.

Volunteers at the Crabbs Cross funeral directors stepped forward for the daredevil event after one of the team suggested it as a great way to boost funds for a charity close to their hearts.

Now eight of them are building up to the big day, on September 23, when they’ll do the tandem jump by leaping from an aeroplane somewhere over Swindon.

“We work closely with Primrose, it’s a local charity and we’ve always tried to support it,” said Ceri Thomas from the family business.

“A member of staff, Alex Allcott, suggested we do a parachute jump and it’s gone from there.”

Each of the jumpers is aiming to raise a minimum of £350 in sponsorship to cover costs and produce a bumper total for the Primrose into the bargain.
