Reduced service at Redditch Borough Council

THERE will be a reduced service at Redditch Borough Council’s customer services centre next Wednesday (January 29) as essential upgrades are made to the network.

The centre in George Walk will still be open but staff won’t be able to access systems to take payments or process applications.

They will signpost and assist customers, who have their own phones or devices with them, to access services, systems and information.

Redditch Borough councillor Monica Stringfellow, whose portfolio covers community services, said: “Although our systems will be down our ever-helpful staff will do what they can to help you to access the services you need.

“But while these upgrades are taking place they will be limited so we advise you to plan your visit the day before or after. Alternatively you can access our services online or call the switchboard.”

The self service telephone and PC, printing, scanning and wifi series will also not be available.

Council Leader Joe Baker added: “We apologise for the inconvenience to our customers and rest assured that we will return to being fully operational as quickly as we can.”

In the meantime you can call the Council switchboard on 01527 64252 or access services at redditchbc.gov.uk
