Dogs Trust Kenilworth is appealing for a home for a hound with an uncanny theatrical resemblance.
Five-year-old Crossbreed, Rocco, who came into the rehoming centre after being found as a stray has a distinctive fur collar, not too dissimilar to the ruff worn by another Warwickshire resident, William Shakespeare, in the 16th century.
His appearance has led staff to nickname him ‘The Woof in the Ruff’, and they all have their paws crossed that a new owner will enter stage left and give him a happy home.
Sandra Foulds, Dogs Trust Kenilworth Rehoming Centre Manager, said: “Handsome Rocco has so much potential and loves a fuss. We’re hoping that if we put him in the spotlight someone will declare their everlasting love for him.
“He loves being the centre of attention and has boundless energy so will need an active home with lots of direction to ensure he becomes a true star he is destined to be. He could potentially share the stage with another four-legged friend as well as children.”
If you can help the curtain fall on his time at Dogs Trust and are interested in giving Rocco a ‘furever’ home, please call the Rehoming Centre on 0300 303 0292 or visit www.dogstrust.org.uk
