Reimagine Redditch awarded £900,000 as part of Arts Council England funding

REIMAGINE Redditch has been awarded £900,000 as part of Arts Council England’s largest-ever Creative People and Places (CPP) Portfolio.

The funding will invest £42million in 45 programmes from 2026 to 2029, to deliver more grassroots-led cultural experiences in areas across England where involvement in arts and culture is below the national average.

Reimagine Redditch is the borough’s dedicated creative and cultural programme and is working in the town to develop and deliver creative activities for everybody, but especially for people who do not regularly take part in creative activities.

The organisation is led by Severn Arts, Arts in Redditch, Redditch Borough Council, Bromsgrove and Redditch Network (BARN) and Jestaminute Community Theatre CIC.

Jan Higgitt, chair of the Reimagine Redditch Consortium, said: “This funding will allow us to continue to reimagine what Redditch can be – a place where creativity thrives and where everyone feels able to take part in arts and culture.

“A massive thanks to Severn Arts, BARN, Arts in Redditch, Jestaminute Community Theatre, and Redditch Borough Council who have once again backed this initiative.”

Liz Johnson, Midlands Area Director at Arts Council England said: “Funded by the National Lottery, we are investing more than £9.2million in the Midlands, to ensure more people can experience, connect and take part in creativity on their doorsteps.

“Over the past three years, Reimagine Redditch has been working with local people to create and take part in vibrant cultural experiences.”
