Remember a loved one by taking part in Primrose Hospice Lights of Love

Redditch Editorial 28th Oct, 2019   0

REMEMBER a loved one by taking part in this year’s Primrose Hospice Lights of Love.

That’s the aim of the charity’s biggest annual fund-raiser which last year generated £37,000 to help the hospice continue to provide its services free to those with life-limiting illnesses and their families.

In return for a donation, you can remember a loved one by dedicating a light on the Christmas trees in selected towns and villages.

The names are then listed in books of remembrance and near the trees which get illuminated at the annual Christmas lights switch-ons.

The books of remembrance will be at Thomas Brothers Funeral Directors’ Bromsgrove and Redditch branches and at Bromsgrove Methodist Centre and Redditch Crematorium.

Special Lights of Love services will also be taking place in the three areas – Bromsgrove’s is at the town’s Methodist Centre at 3.30pm on November 23, followed by the blessing at the tree outside Asda at 5pm.

The Redditch one will be at 2pm on November 24 at St Stephen’s Church and the Rubery one is at Beacon Church Centre at 4pm on December 1.

A Carols by Candlelight service will be also be held at the Primrose Hospice at 6pm on December 19.

Dedications can be made by visiting the Primrose Hospice charity shops, at the hospice in St Godwald’s Road, by clicking the link at primrosehospice.org or by calling 01527 889796.
