OLD workers from the original Royal Enfield factory met up recently to celebrate some of its remaining historic features.
The day was organised by the Royal Enfield Owners Club and saw many ex-employees mingle with Royal Enfield enthusiasts.
Located on the Royal Enfield Business Park in Redditch, just one building from the factory remains but has recently undergone a revamp.
This includes a steel frame feature of a Royal Enfield 500c Bullet motorcycle while the business park logo features an old Royal Enfield motorcyle petrol tank badge.
Club member John Budge said: “Regardless of the bad weather, it was fantastic to see old workers come along with their motorcycles to celebrate a day of history.”
Royal Enfield motorcycles are still made to this day, in Chennai in India, where a ‘Redditch’ series of motorcycles are currently in production.
