ONE OF the Lidl’s Redditch stores closes its doors today (Sunday).
We reported back in April about the supermarket shutting which came as a real blow to those using the town centre.
The Standard understands the building is considered ‘no longer fit for purpose’ and the German supermarket giant recently opened a new supermarket in Battens Drive.
A spokesperson for the company said although this store is closing they are always on the lookout for opportunities in Redditch for new stores to join their recently opened supermarket on Battens Drive.
