Repair Cafe opens its doors this Saturday to repair your broken goods

Redditch Editorial 28th Oct, 2022   0

MAKE do and mend is fast becoming the watch word as residents face rising energy bills and soaring inflation.

All the more reason then to pop in to Redditch’s Repair Cafe which is throwing open its doors at Community House this coming Saturday, October 29.

Already booked to appear are repairers of bicycles, computers and electronics plus a sewing expert to fix those torn garments or stitch on a missing button.

Electrical and mechanical experts are also scheduled to be there and thee’s hope the woodworker will be there too.

The process is simple – all the experts are volunteers and offer their services free of charge although donations are always welcome.

The cafe runs from 10am to 2pm with ‘last orders’ by 1pm, and being a cafe, there will be tea, coffee, biscuits and cake available.

Organisers would also be delighted to hear from another sewing volunteer who can help out once a month.

Community House can be found on Easemore Road and everyone is welcome to drop in.
