RESIDENTS who signed up for collective energy switching scheme in Warwickshire have saved an average of £128 on their utility bills, according to the County Council.
Now the authority has opened its registration period for the February 2019 ‘reverse auction’ – ie, finding an energy company which offers the lowest price.
Following the October reverse auction, there was one provider, E.O.N, which was able to provide residents with the best rate for their gas and electricity bills and they have been providing the following contracts to consumers:
• Residents who have online billing;
• Residents who have paper billing; and
• Residents using pre-payment meters.
In all, 75 per cent of people who registered for the scheme last time in Warwickshire could have saved on their energy bills if they chose to switch.
Now that process begins again and residents should visit the Warwickshire Switch and Save website to register their interest in becoming a saver or visit the ‘Bring your Bill’ event at Alcester library this Wednesday, January 30, between 9.30am and 12.30pm.
