RESIDENTS in Tredington Close in Woodrow have been seeing double after borough council workers put up new street names at the entrance.
Replacing dilapidated signs, they discovered that their road had grown an extra ‘D’ to become Treddington Close.
“Someone can’t spell,” said one resident.
“It wouldn’t have been so bad but the old road signs were still there.”
A council spokesperson said: “We are sorry for the mistake in the signage which is purely down to human error.
“As soon as we realised there was an issue we reordered new, correct signage which is already being processed by our supplier.”
