Residents taking the lead as Studley Neighbourhood Plan takes shape

THE Neighbourhood Plan for Studley is up and running.

Following initial meetings, four groups have been formed to cover the environment, housing, business and amenities.

Parish Council chairman Paul Beaman said what was particularly pleasing was that it had quickly become a resident-led exercise.

“We’ve got a steering group, four working groups and the people who are heading up the committees are not parish councillors so it’s definitely being village-led.

“There are some really exciting ideas and the next move will be to hold a public open meeting to discuss what people want to see in the village and I’m expecting that to be held sometime in June.”

A CAR demolished a lamppost after reportedly running off the road on the Warwick Highway/Bromsgrove Highway.

Police called for an ambulance at 11.45am and one unit attended, but nobody required hospital treatment.

The incident happened between the Morrisons island and the Greenlands turn-off and diversions were in place while the police attended the scene.
