RESIDENTS are being urged to join a ‘no confidence’ protest in the management of the Trust running the Alexandra Hospital.
The demonstration, organised by the Save the Alex campaign, is set to take place ahead of Worcestershire Acute Hospital NHS Trust’s public board meeting on Wednesday (February 25) at Kidderminster Hospital starting at 9.30am. It follows the shock resignation of all the A&E consultants at the Woodrow Drive Hospital last week, which has jeopardised the department’s future.
Neal Stote, chairman of Save the Alex, said the protest would act as a visible sign to board members of the lack of faith the public had in the senior management.
Those planning to attend should email [email protected] to register their support. Volunteers may be able to provide transport for those who will find it difficult to access Kidderminster Hospital by bus or rail.
