A FAB Four event will take place at Redditch’s Kingfisher Centre on Saturday (February 10) when leading Ringo drum historian and Beatles drumming expert unite for a ‘one-of-a-kind’ performance.
Gary Astridge will be on hand in Worcester Square from 11am to 2pm signing copies of his and Ringo’s new book ‘Beats and Threads’, offering fans a chance to delve deeper into Richard Starkey’s drums.
Then at 7.30pm at PDCave – next to the JobCentre – there will be the Palace Drum Clinic’s ‘infotainment’ event. Those who get a one-off chance to hear about Ringo Starr from his drum curator and historian Gary Astridge.
There will also be expert demonstrations by Ringo drumming style expert Rob Brian, along with unique talks and multimedia presentations – all based on the The Beatle’s drumming legacy, kits, style and latest projects.
Tickets for the event, which will also feature informative questions and answer sessions, will be £16.
