AFTER a weekend of fireworks lighting up the night sky, Redditch Astronomical Society has invited local retired rocket scientist Ian Johnston to talk about plans to launch a small space craft to the moon.
A real life study was undertaken for a TV show, and the talk will cover designing a rocket spacecraft and the selection of a launch site.
Mr Johnson will aim to demystify rocket science and the talk will be suitable for anyone with an interest in technology
The society meets at Windmill Community Centre on Rye Grass Lane at 7pm tonight (November 7).
Attendance is free for members and £3 for non-members.
