Rotary Club of Redditch does town proud during lockdown

Harry Leach 21st Jun, 2020

THE Rotary Club of Redditch has been helping out local good causes during the lockdown.

The club, which meets on Monday lunchtimes at Abbey Hotel in Redditch, has made donations of £250 to Worcestershire Acute Hospitals Charity in support of the NHS staff shop and a further £500 to the Trussell Trust to support the local food bank.

Severn Freewheelers, a group of motorcyclists who transport essential medical items around the NHS, also received some much-needed funds.

The Inner Wheel Club of Redditch, which is part of the Rotary family, gives regular support by way of goods to the Trussell Trust.

“The Rotarians are now having meetings via Zoom, which is a new challenge for some!” said spokesman Peter Williams.
